Join us for Pesticide Action Week and help us create a pesticide-free world!

Get ready for this year's Pesticide Action Week (PAW), taking place from 20th to 30th March, to help raise awareness on the harmful impact chemical pesticides can have on human, animal and environmental health, and how we would benefit from a transition to a pesticide-free agriculture.

Exposure to pesticides, many of them being endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), is linked to cancer, infertility problems, obesity and other health diseases.

EDC-Free Europe partner Générations Futures offers you the opportunity to join more than 1,000 events organised all across Europe to promote safer alternatives to harmful pesticides. More than 50 national partners, international organisations, as well as local participants are involved. If you and/or your organisation want to officially become one of the international partners, contact the campaign manager at: alternatives@generations-futures.fr.

Stay tuned for updates on TwitterFacebook and Instagram.
EDC-Free Europe partners have been raising awareness on the urgent need for legislators to phase out harmful substances and create a pesticide-free world for years.

Some recent resources, in no particular order, include:
  • Last week, Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO) launched the report "A loud lobby for a silent spring", on how the pesticide industry attacks reduction targets in EU Farm to Fork Strategy.
  • In their report released in March 2022, Ecologistas en Acción exposes the serious state of contamination of Spanish rivers and groundwater with pesticides and other wide-ranging pollutants.
  • In January 2022, the Heinrich Böll Foundation, the Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND) and Pesticide Action Network (PAN) Germany published the report "Pesticide Atlas 2022 - Data and facts about toxins in agriculture".
  • In September 2021, Phyto-Victimes released the documentary web series "Le combat pour la reconnaissance", that shows the devastating impacts of synthetic pesticides on human health.
