The British Middle Distance Championships were held on Sunday 6 March, just south of Milton Keynes Quentin came back with a gold medal and Ruth a silver, having thrown the win away on the first two controls before getting 'into' the map. Rushmere was an agreeable area, suited to Middle Distance and the event well organised. The day before there was a race in Salcey Forest to remind us how glad we are to live in Yorkshire :) Ruth ( Modesty prevented Ruth from giving their results on this course but the editor found that Quentin was 1st on Blue and Ruth was 3rd on Green)
Meanwhile back up North , on Saturdays MTBO in Lee Quarry on some very technical courses Tim Evans was 5th and 2nd M50 , at CLOKs Blackwell Urban Parkland event , on the Open course Andrew Kelly was 1st M60 and 10th O/A, John Birtwistle was 21st , Susan Birtwistle 25th and Allen Barnes 28th , on the Vets course Linda Kelly was 14th and Jackie Barnes 22nd
On Sunday at EBOR's Yorkshire Water Park Event on Blue Andrew Kelly was 8th, On Green David Rochester was 2nd , Andy Bowes 4th , Sharon Bowes 9th, Allen Barnes 17th and Jackie Barnes 19th. On Short Green Linda Kelly was 7th and on Light Green Toby Rochester was 2nd.
