We're bringing Empathy skills to 750 schools! Whaaat!

Four years ago, we started out hosting dinner parties for strangers. We'd never imagined that, four years later, we'd be using those same foundations to design an empathy training programme for 750 schools – all over Malaysia.

#StandTogether is a national campaign with an unconventional approach to addressing bullying in schools. Instead of fighting it head-on, it equips students with the mindset and skills of kindness, empathy and compassion.

We couldn't be more grateful to contribute to the #StandTogether campaign as the official Programme Developer of the virtual Kindness Workshops!

On the stage:

Shawn gave not one, but two (!!) talks for the Agile community in Asia-Pacific, focusing on the dichotomy of work, the dilemma between Business Needs and Human Needs, and how empathy is the key to balancing between the two...

Gwen Yi gave her first TEDx speech on the topic "Empathy In Action: Five cards for every conversation". She describes the creative process of giving birth to this speech as "six months in h̶e̶l̶l̶ labor"...

We welcomed Gwen Lyne (yes, GY's sister) as our new Community Manager last month! You'll be hearing more from her soon ;)

In conjunction with our birthday, we launched #SeeTheHumanFirst – a fun little livestream talkshow on FB! Watch all past episodes here

We hosted #EmpathyCircles for 40 Women Social Entrepreneurs under Ashoka & S&P's "Women Together For A Better Normal" virtual program!

We led our first full-day training for 70 aspiring new bankers under the prestigious FSTEP program, thanks to our friends at Symphony Learning.
