This is your chance to connect with your Board of Directors, to celebrate our achievements and plan for the coming year. Hear the reports and join in the open forum.
One vote per member household. Memberships available at the event.
Plan to bring your own mask. Hand sanitizer will be provided. Physical distancing will be required.

We have some great ideas to help us build a more friendly and connected community. Can you help to bring these to life?
- Installing natural benches at pathway intersections - these offer seating for all ages and play opportunities for young children
- Installing shade structures near playgrounds
- Utility box painting - with a cohesive motif across the community
- A storage structure in a park - likely a sea container
5/ Technology Update
Google Suite products and other apps can simplify the Board’s work while better serving the community. We need a knowledgeable person to evaluate what fits us best and then to transition the SECA Board to take advantage of these products.

Membership fee revenue enables SECA to enrich your community life. Through our programs and events we are building a more neighbourly community.
Our membership year runs from May 1 to April 30 each year.

When residents get involved good things happen!
1/ THANK YOU for your letters related to Graywood Developments land use amendment application. At the May 7th City Council meeting, with the support of the the Planning Commission, and our Councillor, Diane Colley Urquart, Council approved C-1N zoning. This means that the commercial development will not include drive-thru or gas station developments. Thanks also to the leadership of volunteers in our community who led the SECA response, Norm Rousseau (SECA's Director of Development) and Dave Jacobs.
2/ THANK YOU to those who used the online pothole reporting system and especially to those that engaged city officials including our Ward Councillor. Some of the worst potholes along the east end of Shawnee Drive have been patched. It's still bumpy but at least no one will be damaging their car now.

CARDEL Homes - Shawnee Park Update
As a reminder to Shawnee Evergreen residents, other than completed and opened areas, Shawnee Park remains an active, privately owned, construction site with all the hazards that entails. For safety reasons, public access is strictly prohibited (including landscape buffer areas) and residents should observe all construction signage and respect the private property.

Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park
Shawnee Evergreen is in such a lovely location, adjacent to the Fish Creek Provincial Park. It's a space that many of us use for walking, biking, photography, bird watching and more. And it's a space we need to help to protect. You can become a Park Protector with a monthly donation.
Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park Society is an organization that offers a variety of programs to help us enjoy the park and protect the park.
