Head to Mayfair, thin crust pizza fans

Opened on Frankford Avenue in 1951, Tony's Famous Tomato Pies often gets left off the tomato pie roundups (including ours). Its pies — including cheeseless, upside-down, and regular pizza — are similar to better-known Taconelli's, on an ultra-thin crust that crackles with each bite.

FBI raids Local 98 union again, reasons remain unclear

FBI agents on Friday morning raided Local 98 headquarters in Spring Garden, the second such hunt since since the federal investigation into the union’s activities exploded into public view four years ago. It remains unclear whether this week's action relates to the ongoing court case against labor leader John Dougherty. A union spokesperson said leadership was blindsided by the raid — and pointed to its timing: right after a giant Biden banner went up at the building.

Adam Sandler rocks Philly gear in Netflix basketball movie

Adam Sandler has been in town shooting scenes for "Hustle," an upcoming Netflix movie produced by LeBron James and directed by city native Jeremiah Zagar. The plot revolves around a disgraced NBA scout trying to earn redemption — and it looks like that character might be a Philly guy. Latest sign: Sandler's been on set in clothing from South Fellini, the local brand known for its inside-joke apparel. Per the shop owners, costume designers even stocked up on the "Wawa Jawn" design.
