“Enlightenment is growing all the time. It is not something that happens once and is then complete.” Thich Nhat Hanh
According to the Cambridge dictionary, one definition of enlightenment is the state of understanding something. Another meaning based in Hinduism and Buddhism is that it is the highest spiritual state that can be achieved. State is the common word in both definitions, perhaps like the states of liquid with the potential to change into solid or gas, it reveals the moving and fluid quality of what I believe “enlightenment” is or is not. Confused yet? That’s just it. You think you have achieved something….touched it….sensed it and yet it’s fleeting. I sum it all up to lifetime learning and since we’re lucky enough to make it here into 2021, fingers crossed, let the learning begin once more!
I continue to practice, learn and explore some fun stuff listed below. They too continue to change "states". I hope you'll join me on this graceful aging adventure! Let me know what resonates with you :)
