Rise to the challenge in issue 422 of aboutfram

Tomorrow heralds the start of Real Bread Week, an annual, international celebration of the additive free loaf and the people behind its rise, if you’ll forgive the pun!
You may already be a regular bread-maker, especially given the current circumstances, shop regularly at your local baker or pick up the delicious Cake Shop loaves from the COOP, but this week, why not try your hand at a baking something a little different – here are some featured on the Real Bread Week website. Failing that, you can pick up a delicious loaf and our latest issue magazine too, from the likes of Leo’s Deli (Pump St Bakery) and The Queen (home baked by chef Alex) in Brandeston.
Take care and stay safe

aboutfram pickup

Counter intuitive

Thanks as always to two fine local establishments - Huttons of Earl Soham and Hall Farm Butchers in Framlingham - for stocking the latest issue of the aboutfram magazine.

Both butchers stock a wonderful selection of locally sourced, high quality meat and game, as well as home-cooked pies, marinated meal suggestions and a selection of other foodie goodies to take home.

Shopping locally has never been more important and these two offer so much more than just a butcher's shop.
Peasenhall pick-up

Peasenhall pick-up

We have been delivering the latest magazine where we can and are delighted that in Peasenhall there is not one but three fabulous places to pick up your copy.

It's a great place to shop if you live locally as you have Salter & King, an award-winning butcher stocking high quality, often organic meat, Peasenhall General Store where you can pick up day-to-day essentials, a paper or even a few plants for the garden, and Emmett's, a treasure trove of delectible goodies including cheese, charcuterie, home-cooked ham and luxurious chocolate.
Our thanks to all three.
Honey & The Bear

Tune in Folks

Wow - how fantastic that Lucy and Jon from local folk band Honey & The Bear got their first national airplay on BBC Radio 2 this week.

On his renowned Folk Show, Mark Radcliffe played 'The Swallow' from their forthcoming album 'Journey Through The Roke' - you can listen here

Their brand new album is due out on 23rd April and you can pre-order it via the website, where you can also listen to a fantastic selection of Livestreams that they post on their Facebook page.
