Queenslanders with disability and disability advocacy organisations are calling on the state government to continue funding for essential advocacy services, and have launched their campaign, Stand with us!

Funding ceases from 30 June 2021 and no further commitment has been made by the Queensland Government to the non-government sector to deliver disability advocacy services.

QDeNgage helps build new Industry Resource 


WorkAbility Qld has teamed up with QDeNgage for a focus group to support the development of the Common Induction for NDIS Workforce Micro Credential. 
 

Consultants Mathew Townsend (Brisbane), Elisha Matthews (Brisbane), Dave Conway (Mackay) and Will Procter (Sunshine Coast) met with project staff Tannia Lancaster, Mandy Strathearn and Fay Whittaker (pictured) to share the key skills and attributes that they look for in Support Workers as self-managed NDIS participants.

Register now for RTO Trainer Development in Cairns 

Program Three of the NDIS Principles and VET Practitioner’s Leadership Program will be held in Cairns on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 April and invites community services sector staff and other regional representatives to attend.

The Program partnership between WorkAbility and TAFE Queensland delivers current, relevant information on key topics that support the NDIS Capability Framework - including the role and principles of the Quality and Safeguard Commission, to VET teachers.

Keep COVID-safe with Free Infection Control Training

The Queensland Government is offering subsided training in infection prevention and control to people working in the disability and aged care sectors including:

Training is being delivered by TAFE Queensland and is offered free of charge to eligible applicants.
