Progressives unite for International Women's Day to #MakeHerCount
In the run-up to International Women's Day (8 March), progressive leaders and essential workers joined in with PES Women's #MakerHerCount campaign. We wanted to call attention to the fact that women during COVID-19 are working at their maximum while receiving only the minimum of pay and recognition. Applause and empty words are not enough. PES Women protests Turkey's withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention

PES Women strongly condemned the Turkish government's decision to withdraw from the Istanbul Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence. PES Women sends checklist for gender-sensitive recovery to Ursula von der Leyen

PES Women sent a letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, urging the Commission to make women truly count in the recovery from the current crisis.
