Scotland's Biggest Parents Events survey

Developing the Young Workforce are looking to shape up our 2021 employer led ‘Scotland’s Biggest Parents Events’ and would really appreciate the views of parents, carers and guardians to ensure we deliver information and insight that is helpful and hits the key topics you would like to hear about.  We are asking for 2 minutes of your time through a short survey to help us get this right for you.  The deadline for survey completion is Friday 4th June.  Survey Link >> https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/W6TJQ53

DYW Schools Coordinators

Following increased Scottish Government funding to DYW West - our 4 LA's have resourced DYW Schools coordinators. These roles will work to maximise existing industry opportunities for young people and work with DYW West staff to develop new partnerships. In addition the DYW SC's will collaborate with SDS Careers Advisers and other education colleagues and partners to give support to those that need it most - helping to ensure as many young people as possible leave school with a positive destination such as college, university, apprenticeship etc.

Choose College - virtual showcase 26/5

The event will see colleges from across Scotland come together to showcase all that college has to offer.  Whether you are thinking of upskilling, retraining, taking the first step in your career or trying something new, you might be surprised at the opportunities available right on your doorstep!

Attendees will get the chance to hear about some of the exciting opportunities colleges offer, the support services available and what college life is like at our seminar sessions. You can also browse our exhibition area and ask as many questions as you like at our virtual college stands

The online event is free and takes place twice on the 26th May at 3pm & 7pm. To register click here

STEM West 2021
