As we express our heartfelt thanks to all of you for your exceptional participation throughout the year, I want to shine a spotlight on another group that has played a pivotal role in our success - our dedicated fitness instructors, volunteer program leaders and greeters.

To our incredible team of fitness experts and leaders, we extend our deepest appreciation for your unwavering commitment to excellence. Your passion for health and well-being has been the driving force behind the positive impact we've made together.

Your expertise, motivation, and tireless efforts have not only inspired our members but have also elevated the quality of our programs. Whether guiding them through invigorating workouts, sharing valuable knowledge, or leading programs you have consistently gone above and beyond.

As we look forward to the opportunities that 2024 holds, we're confident that, with your continued dedication, we will reach new heights. Your influence extends far beyond the gymnasium or TRX equipment, the pool or the use of yoga blocks, or greeting with smiling faces - you are integral to the sense of community and support that defines the Older Adults 60+ group. Thank you fitness instructors and program leaders and volunteer greeters for being the backbone of our wellness community. Your passion fuels our collective journey, and we are genuinely grateful for the positive impact you bring to the membership.

Wishing you a joyous holiday season, and we eagerly anticipate another year of growth, wellness, and shared achievements.

2024 Membership Rates
We really hope that you enjoy the benefits of your membership however, we wanted to bring to your attention an important update regarding our annual membership fees.

There will be a modest adjustment to our annual membership fees effective January the 1, 2024. Approved by council, was made to ensure that we continue providing the same high quality classes, services, and facilities that you value, while also allowing us to invest in enhancements to further elevate your experience.

That said we are thrilled to share some exciting news that brings more flexibility and convenience to your membership options. Starting January 1st we are now introducing two new membership options – six- month or 12 month memberships. We understand that everyone's preferences vary and these options have been designed to provide you with greater choice and value.

It's essential to note that this adjustment is solely related to the annual membership fee, there will not be any corresponding increase in cost for our classes or programs. Your annual membership is still based on when your membership expires.

We genuinely appreciate your understanding and continued trust in the older adult 60 plus programs. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you for being a valued member of our community. We look forward to another year of growth and success together.

New Classes added to the schedule for 2024
"Aqua Tone & Stretch. New Class. Mondays at 1:15pm Starts Jan 2024. Starts Monday, Jan 8, First class is "Try for free", Full body workout, strength/mobility & flexibility"
Registered Aqua Tone & Stretch

Aqua Tone & Stretch is a specific type of guided stretching that is only made possible when in the water.

Aqua Tone & Stretch is a whole body facilitated stretch. This means that you allow your body to follow its intuitive movements and have the assistance of the water for balance and coordination.

Participants experience their own level of stretch/strengthening through isometric (holding muscle in position) contraction.

You need to allow your body to move in whichever way you feel would assist your stretch.

Aqua Tone & Stretch works on the whole body, however unlike many treatments, it targets your connective tissue which is like the glue that connects tissues within the body. Connective tissue can get tight and knotted like muscles and needs to be released for optimal healing.

Aqua Tone & Stretch is perfect for you to assist with circulation while performing safe activity with greater ease in the water and if you suffer from chronic pain, injuries or osteoarthritic conditions.

Tranquility Meditation
Find your inner peace and escape the hustle and bustle

Introducing Tranquility Meditation with certified instructor and Older Adult Member Brenda Hobbs.

Do you have monkey mind, or a hamster wheel in your brain? You are not alone!

Would you like to learn to quiet those rascals and let go of troubling thoughts?

Would you like to develop a calmer and more focused mind?

With the world as it is, we need to learn to quiet our minds for a period of time every day.

Tranquility meditation is a mindfulness based approach to quieting your mind and gaining some inner peace. This practice is done mostly in silence while sitting on a chair (some verbal instruction is given during the meditation).
The techniques we will learn can be practiced anytime, anywhere.  All you need is your mind.

Join Brenda for a free introductory class on Tuesday January 9.  A series of 7 weekly, 1 hour classes will follow.

Christmas Party:
A Resounding Triumph

A heartfelt thanks to everyone for making our Christmas party memorable, and for good reason. The food was outstanding prepared by Chef Michael, the entertainment was exceptional and your presence and positive energy truly made the event a big success. From the joyful laughter to the lively conversations, it was heartwarming to see everyone come together and enjoy the festive spirit.

We look forward to more shared moments of joy in the upcoming year. In fact, it has me thinking about bringing back the 'Sunday Socials' we had at Coronation a good fifteen years ago. More details to follow in the new year.

On behalf of DJ and myself we wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!
