"Winter Break Programming: December 27 - January 5"
Winter Break in Niagara Falls
Join in on the holiday fun! 

The City of Niagara Falls will host a variety of winter break programs for kids and families to enjoy from December 27, 2023, to January 5, 2024.

The MacBain Community Centre, Niagara Falls History Museum and Gale Centre Arena all have something to offer. 

Registration for all programs is now available. Limited spots are available.

Winter 2024 Swimming Lessons
Registration opens Wednesday, January 3

Winter swimming lessons are just around the corner! This session will run from Sunday, January 14, until Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the MacBain Community Centre (7150 Montrose Road).

If you are a Niagara Falls resident, you can register for the lessons online starting Wednesday, January 3, at 6 pm. In-person registration opens on Thursday, January 4, at 9 am, and non-resident registration begins on January 5, at 9 am.

Winter 2024 Child & Youth Program registration will also open on Wednesday, January 3.

Niagara Falls History Museum

The Niagara Falls History Museum, located at 5810 Ferry Street, is thrilled to announce the upcoming arrival of the My Story, My Tattoo exhibit from the Wellington County Museum and Archives, starting on Saturday, January 20, 2024. 

This unique exhibit will showcase 32 photographs and stories of individuals with incredible tattoos, featuring participants from all walks of life and a diverse range of ages.

The Museum's current exhibit, Human Nature, will close its doors on Sunday, January 7. Be sure to check it out - before it's too late!

Phase One Improvements

Exciting news for skateboarders and spectators in Niagara Falls!

The MacBain Skateboard Park is getting a major upgrade in its first phase of improvements. 

Some of the new proposed amenities include:

  • Covered shade structure
  • New seating with potential grind rail options for park users
  • Conceptual art features

Let's Talk M F Ker Park Pickleball Facility Development

The City of Niagara Falls is pleased to announce that M F Ker Park (3420 Sinnicks Avenue) has been chosen as the new site for a pickleball facility. 

This addition will replace aging tennis courts and provide a dynamic space for all levels of play. 

Pickleball court amenities include:

  • Premium acrylic sport court surface coating
  • North-South orientation for optimal play
  • Six full-size pickleball courts
  • High chain-link fencing with wind barriers
  • Low chain-link fencing for court/play area separation
  • Player/spectator seating
  • Accessible walkways, signage and courts
