PRAYER MINISTRY
"Call On Him"
Too often we find ourselves, in our very full and busy lives, utterly alone. We feel misunderstood, an outcast of our doing. We isolate ourselves in a world of pain, feeling as though there is no one to whom we can turn.
Whatever you are going through, call on Him for support today. Scripture says He is forgiving and good. He wants to love you through your pain and bring you out of your misery. He will answer you if you are willing to ask Him for help.
Join the Southpoint Prayer Team on Thursdays at 7:30pm and on Sabbaths at 3:00pm and 6:00pm to ask Him for help or to just praise Him for all He has done.
Tithe Receipts: Your 2023 year-end receipts are ready and will be placed on the personnel ministry desk this Sabbath.
$ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $
Total budget needed to operate the church monthly:
$9,000.00
Total church expenses collected through January 20:
$3,379.49
We praise God for your faithfulness in returning your tithe AND offering. Our tithe supports the worldwide church, while our offering supports Southpoint SDA Church. By giving to the Local Church Budget (on the tithe envelope), you are helping to meet the various expenses needed to operate our local ministries and church building.
SPIRITUAL GIFTS ASSESSMENT
It has been said, “He who buries his talent is making a grave mistake.”
God gave each of us what we call "Spiritual Gifts." They are actually listed in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 12. He gave every one of us at least one of these special attributes. These Spiritual Gifts are to be developed and used specifically for building each other up and to bring honor to God.
If you are not sure just what your spiritual gift is, and would like to find out, we have available a Spiritual Gifts Assessment that will help you discover what you gift is, and how you can use it. You can take it online, by clicking on this link or we will have paper copies available for you beginning this Sabbath at church. Pastor Lopez will be referring to this on Sabbath, February 3, so we want everyone to be familiar with your spiritual gift(s). Once you know what your spiritual gifts are, we're praying that you will use your gifts here at Southpoint as we Connect. Grow. Serve. Go.
NAMETAGS
Thank you to everyone who has been wearing your nametags! If you accidentally took yours home with you, please bring it back this Sabbath. At the end of service, please return your nametag to the table and we'll have it ready for you the following weeks. If you didn't have a nametag last Sabbath and you gave us your name, we'll have yours ready for you this Sabbath. We're a growing a family, and we want to call each family member by name!
PRAYER MEETING
The next prayer meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 31, from 11:00am to 12:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. All are invited!
MINISTRY FAIR
MEMBERS! Come prepared to review the various ministries we have at Southpoint and talk to the ministry leaders about any questions you may have. Begin now, praying that God will direct your paths as to what ministry you should get involved in. Southpoint is looking for TMI, TotalMemberInvolvement.
MINISTRY LEADERS! If you did not get your presentation boards and instructions regarding the Ministry Fair, please be sure to see Wanda Jenkins.
Get ready for our next Ministry Fair on Sabbath, February 3 as part of our worship service. Be prepared to share one-on-one with interested members and guests just what your ministry does and watch how God will bring people to assist in the work you do, not just for Southpoint, but for the cause of Christ! For pictures of our Ministry Fair 2018, click here.
IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT place items on the
ground to save your spot in line and leave.
