This week at Southpoint I Thursday, February 15, 2024
Pastor Sebastian's first baptism at Southpoint! This year, we are asking God for at least one baptism per month. Just where will these baptism candidates come from? Well, we've ALL been called to be fishers of men but pray especially for Pastor Sebastian, Sister Loretta Gibbons, our elders, and any other members who have committed to bringing people to Christ. If you have a friend or family member you would like to see join the family of God, begin praying for them each day, asking the Holy Spirit to touch their hearts, share with them what God is doing in YOUR life, and watch God work!
Sabbath School begins at 10:30am on Sabbath and divine worship service begins at 11:30am. If you cannot join us in person, you can join us online at www.southpointsda.org. Either way, we look forward to worshipping with you soon.

PRAYER MINISTRY
Trusting God with the Impossible
Jesus used the absurdity of moving mountains to illustrate a principle: God can and will do "absolutely everything" in response to believing prayer, from fixing the smallest hangnail to stilling the most powerful storm.
Believers often don't count on this promise as God intends. They feel guilty when their prayers aren't answered in the way they expected and wonder if they didn't have enough faith. Preachers may say it's not about the size of their faith, but the size of their God. But still believers ask, Why does prayer remain a hit-or-miss affair when God promised "absolutely everything"?
Maybe the answer lays in laying hold of God-because God will lay hold of you at the same time. When God tells His people He's ready to move a mountain, they'd better start praying. That's a prayer God will honor.
Prayer is all about trust. Trusting God is listening. Trusting Him to reveal His will. Trusting Him to act according to His nature and to do as He promised.
Prayer is trust in action, even when we don't ask for a thing.
Join the Southpoint Prayer Team on Thursdays at 7:30pm and on Sabbath at 3:00pm and 6:00pm to put your trust in action.

"This was originally meant for Southpoint OASIS members, but I want to share it with my overall church members. I was further stimulated after looking up quotations by St. Francis Of Assisi & Reinhold Niebuhr. I was looking for the Serenity Prayer which I mistakenly thought was by St. Francis.
I feel that I have answered prayer in regards of upsetting and anxious prayers for one of my family members to change (be healed so to speak). I could not figure out anymore that I could do and was GREATLY frustrated. After talking to one of our own OASIS members about something similar, I believe that I've found some peace about my concern for "this other." God wants me to search myself (and leave the "driving" to Him)! He's my "Good Neighbor!"
Now I want to share Niebuhr's Serenity Prayer with all of you." - George Nemchik
