Following the 7 September email release outlining changes to the events calendar from 2023, we received feedback from coaches and regions asking that some of the proposed changes be reconsidered before the final details relating to each event are circulated. There were several reasons why these requests were submitted.
Following this, we had further dialogue with some coaches and had an open discussion about the changes at the Swimming NZ AGM on 18 September with all regions present. We received clear and consistent feedback that further consultation was required before final details were published. Therefore, we have gone out to selected coaches and all regions asking for further feedback on the proposed changes. We will discuss this at a full meeting of the Events Advisory Committee on Thursday 27 October, to finalise and agree on any changes.
We will look to announce all of the event information, qualifying times and event schedules as soon as possible after this meeting.
