CUTENESS OVERLOAD!
Critical koala funding secured

Last week Council formally accepted $1 million from the NSW Government for the ongoing protection and conservation of our koala population.

The funds will help fund the continuation of Council’s highly successful Southern Highlands Koala Conservation Project including roadkill mitigation and habitat mapping projects.

The project began in 2015 with the aim of conserving key koala habitat, improving the health and safety of the species, building knowledge and supporting communities to protect local koala populations.

The funding helps to secure the program for years to come!
