Dear Friend,
Tomorrow is a momentous day at Book Harvest! Tomorrow, a child will harvest our two millionth book.

To celebrate this milestone, we turned to kids - and we asked them to describe what two million books looks like. Here are their irresistible answers:
The two millionth book will be harvested by a Durham Public Schools student tomorrow (Wednesday, May 3), when a new Book Harvest Book Box will be installed at Little River Elementary School. Join us for the special moment in person or online via Facebook Live at 1:00 PM.

Thank you to everyone who helped us get to this milestone. And now: onward to three million!
In celebration,

Ginger Young,
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
P.S. For a trip down memory lane, watch this 2018 video of when a child harvested Book Harvest's one millionth book!

P.P.S. It's officially Books on Break season and this year we are partnering with 35 schools and childcare centers in Durham, Bladen, Columbus, and Guilford Counties to provide over 70,000 books! We can't wait to share more with you over the next few weeks.

Save the Date: Summer Block Party

Book Harvest’s Annual Summer Block Party is a free community-wide celebration of summer and books on Saturday, July 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. on the concourse of the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The afternoon will be filled with family activities and entertainment, highlighted by an abundance of free culturally inclusive children’s books for every child – from infants to high schoolers – to take home and keep forever.
