Call for ApplicationsSteering Committee – Community Member.
The Toronto HIV/AIDS Network (THN) is seeking a Community member who is living with HIV to become a member of its Steering Committee (SC). This volunteer position provides an opportunity to contribute to the leadership team of the THN which facilitates HIV/AIDS planning, collaboration, engagement, and innovation to improve access to programs and services for people from diverse communities living with and most affected by HIV/AIDS.

Automatic partner notifications of applicants in the sponsored family class and dependent refugee class who test positive for HIV will be discontinued. Applicants who test positive for HIV in the sponsored family class and dependent refugee class. Will be subject to the same procedural process as all other applicants who test positive for HIV from other classes. | |

Maggie's 'Between The Covers' book club
Open to current, former and aspiring sex workers and the folks who love them, on July 27th the short story collection' Sluts And Whores' by C.E. Hoffman! In Hoffman's work they explore the humanity of sex workers ("whores") and the people who are proudly sexual("sluts"). Each story questions stereotypes that are long out of date, merging horror with heartache, and magic with the mundane.
August 31st, we will be reading 'Damn Shame: A Memoir Of Desire,Defiance, and Show Tunes' by David Pevsner. A funny, daring, bawdy and incredibly honest memoir from the anti-ageist, anti-body shaming, pro-sexadvocate and erotic provocateur. Pevsner's memoir also discusses his 35+ year career in show business!
