Traffic Calming Project--Lake Washington Blvd.
The City of Renton is installing speed cushions on Lake Washington Blvd N – between Burnett Ave N and Houser Way N
  • Construction is tentatively scheduled to start on September 6, 2023
  • Construction will be less than 13 working days (weekdays only)
  • Traffic on Lake Washington Blvd will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers alternating the flow of traffic around the work zone.
What are speed cushions?
Speed cushions are like speed humps, but they have cut-outs that allow emergency vehicles like fire trucks and ambulances to pass through without slowing down. Speed cushions can help control speeding because they cause car and truck traffic to slow down. Speed cushions can also be used to reduce cut-through traffic.

Kayak or Paddleboard on Lake Washington
September 10, from 9-11am
meet at Kennydale Beach Park, 3601 Lake Washington Blvd N

Several times during the summer, Board member Tom Jarzynka hosts a fun event on the lake. We have been having a great time paddling around on Lake Washington in the morning with our neighbors, meeting up at Kennydale Beach Park.

What a great way to start the morning with coffee, donuts, and a paddle on the water! We hope to see more neighbors coming out to talk, paddle and enjoy our beautiful neighborhood.

We meet at 9am for some delicious coffee and donuts for everyone to enjoy, then spend a couple of hours on the lake.

Hope to see you there! Be sure to bring your paddleboard, kayak, surfboard, paddleboat... or anything that floats and allows you to keep up (or not) with the group.

Hate Graffiti--Assistance Required in Reporting

KNA was contacted by the City of Renton Neighborhood Program on behalf of Renton EHHS to let us know that adjacent neighborhood associations are reporting an uptick in graffiti incidents involving racist graffiti around the Highlands and other areas of the City.  These are showing up on traffic signs, bus benches, curbs and buildings.

If you observe any of these, you’re encouraged to report them using the Renton Responds app or by using the ‘Report an Issue’ button on the City’s website at rentonwa.gov
