Promoting greener growth in China
China has become the world’s largest CO2 emitter. AFD has been working with three major banks to promote energy efficiency programs and renewable energy development in China. In the program: financing for equipment, training in “green credit” for over 9,000 bankers and the promotion of French expertise.

AFD’s contribution to the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF)
The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) was initially set up in 2000. It is characterized by its support for international, regional and local civil society organizations for the implementation of conservation actions and projects in regions where biodiversity is particularly rich and threatened (biodiversity hotspots). This evaluation provides an overall assessment of the relevance, added value, synergies, feedback effects and influence of AFD’s contribution to CEPF.
