A Winding Path Workshop
October 7-9, 2013 (9:00 - 4:00) and November 13, 2013 (9:00-12:00)*
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Is fear limiting your life and career choices? Are you thinking, "Is this it, is this really how I want to live my life?", but finding it difficult to create change? Are you living a life in pursuit of approval at the expense of being true to yourself? When we aren’t living our lives in a way that truly meets our needs, whether we can articulate those needs or not, we know it - we feel it. And we compensate for it by attempting to fill the void with something else - food, alcohol, spending. Trying to avoid the pain of denying your dreams with distractions doesn’t work and the cost to your mental health and relationships is significant. The truth is, that pain will not go away until you begin finding ways to do the work you are meant to do, have the relationships you are meant to have, and be the person you are meant to be.
FINDING YOUR BALANCE is a transformational workshop designed to help you identify and break through the barriers to living your priorities, and to explore the ways in which your reactions, attitudes and behaviors impact your work, your relationships and your life.
7) Catch the ATN Fairness Express
Income inequality affects us all. We know this because we've spent the last three years listening to Canadians from coast to coast about what their lives are like. Some of these stories stick with you, long after the person has left.
Like the story about the community social service worker who earns so little she has to throw her bills up in the air each month to see which one gets paid. Why does she keep at it? Because she knows some of the most vulnerable people in our society rely on her and she is proud of the public service she provides. Her story is one of so many.
Our All Together Now! campaign has been built on these stories. Listening to Canadians from all walks of life who are anxious about their future. We've been building trust and common cause with people through these conversations. And now we're on the move, looking for new stories, new ways to connect.
We’re calling it the #FairnessExpress and it's a rolling roadshow through the Atlantic provinces to reach out to regular Canadians to talk about fairness for all. We'll be talking and listening to stories about how public services, tax fairness, good jobs and strong labour rights help everyone.
This will be a very different kind of tour – a celebration of the good we can do when we work together — the good for ourselves, our families, our communities and our country.
Keep your eyes open for the big green bus at local events, shopping malls, hockey and football games! We'll be where you'd never expect to find us!.
We are looking forward to seeing - and hearing from you - on this journey!
