Tackle the Tumble – Could you be the next King or Queen of the Tumble? The South Wales Valleys are well known for their spectacular cycling hills and climbs and we’re setting you a challenge as part the Year of Legends here in Wales. Why not Tackle the Tumble with our Tumble Challenge? The Tumble is an iconic 6km climb surrounded by glorious valley views and takes you from Govilon, Abergavenny towards the Blaenavon World Heritage Site with a 10% incline to the summit of the Blorenge. It’s featured in the Tour of Britain and is an integral part of Velothon Wales each year.

Blaenavon Workmen’s Hall − venue for hire The Workmen’s Hall is an excellent venue for meetings, conferences, small exhibitions, wedding receptions, social events and group activities. The upstairs auditorium can host 350 people seated theatre style or 150 banquet style and the large stage and related light and sound equipment provides a unique recourse for the town to view theatre, dance, comedy, music and awards/presentation events. The downstairs space offers an 80 seat Cinema, vintage snooker table and group meeting space. The Hall is also home to the Blaenavon Community Museum. Pioneering marketing campaign heads for a photo-finish in the Valleys An exciting new campaign by ‘The Valleys That Changed The World’ project is about to hit industrial heritage sites in the Valleys. Aimed at taking visitors on an adventure - it has given a modern twist to the traditional idea of industrial heritage trails by using photo-boards and social media to engage people with ‘pioneers’ from the Industrial Revolution who embody the spirit of adventure and expectation faced by the hundreds of thousands of people who rapidly moved in to the area during this exciting period in Welsh History.
