Guigal's Majestic Trio
2020 is an outstanding vintage, not to be missed
Brand New Pre-Arrival Offer at Sharp Prices
Today we're offering Guigal's single vineyard wines from a superb young vintage, 2020.

Guigal's Cote Roties, particularly the single vineyard wines, are exceptional wines. They offer extraordinary flavor intensity, impeccable purity, and awesome length and complexity. The yields from the three vineyards - La Mouline, La Landonne, and La Turque - rarely exceed two tons per acre...While all three wines share phenomenal concentration and marvelous perfumes, they could not be more different. I do not think anyone can adequately articulate the multitude of aromas of flavors they possess.” - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

Offered pre-arrival ETA June or July. Priority will be given to balanced orders of all three wines.
Cote Rotie La Mouline 2020
$399 per bottle
(96-98) points Jeb Dunnuck:"I'm not sure the 2020 Côte Rôtie La Mouline will match the 2019, but it's still early to be making any final conclusions, as these wines have an uncanny ability to gain in richness and depth over their élevage. Cassis, violets, spring flowers, and scorched earth define the bouquet, and it's more reserved, focused, and elegant on the palate. This full-bodied, concentrated, pure, beautifully balanced effort is loaded with potential.” 12/22 98-100 Points, Jeb Dunnuck: “Looking like a classic expression of this terroir, the 2020 Côte Rôtie La Mouline just about jumps out of the glass with its exotic, sexy bouquet of black raspberries, cassis, espresso, and flowers. Rich, full-bodied, and as seamless as they come, this is another singular, magical wine from this team.” 2/22
Cote Rotie La Landonne 2020
$399 per bottle
(98-100) points Jeb Dunnuck:"I think the clear star of the show in 2020, at least at this point, is the 2020 Côte Rôtie La Landonne, a 100% Syrah that wasn't destemmed and is still resting in new barrel. It has insanely good aromatics of ripe black fruits, woodsmoke, espresso, cured meats, and graphite that bring incredible intensity as well as purity and freshness. Full-bodied on the palate, it's dense, pure, concentrated, and structured. It's more in the style of the 2018 than the more tannic, structured 2019.” 12/22 98-100 Points Jeb Dunnuck: “Lastly, the 2020 Côte Rôtie La Landonne is another monster of a wine and just epitomizes what I think this terroir delivers in its smoky, meaty, massive profile. Notes of steak tartare, scorched earth, graphite, and blue fruits all emerge from this thrilling barrel sample that is unquestionably the most massive and structured in the lineup. Despite its size and concentration, it has flawless tannins, integrated acidity, and a purity of fruit that’s off the chart. It will require a decade of bottle age to hit the early stages of maturity and will be a 50-year wine if well stored.” 02/22
Cote Rotie La Turque 2020
$399 per bottle
(97-99) points Jeb Dunnuck:"The 2020 Côte Rôtie La Turque reminds me of the 2018 with its pure, seamless, full-bodied, and elegant profile. Blueberries, smoked meat, scorched earth, graphite, and black cherry notes all show on the nose, and it's full-bodied, has a concentrated, powerful mouthfeel, fine tannins, and a seriously good finish.” 12/22 97-99 Points, Jeb Dunnuck: “The 2020 Côte Rôtie La Turque comes from a single parcel in the Côte Brune lieu-dit and offers a more dense, massive, mineral-laced style as well as a gorgeous nose of dark fruits, cured meats, chocolate, and a liquid rock-like minerality. It stays light on its feet and wonderfully balanced, but the cellar is going to be your friend.” 2/22
