Today we are offering Guigal's 2019 single-vineyard Cote Roties.
"Guigal's Cote Roties, particularly the single vineyard wines, are exceptional wines. They offer extraordinary flavor intensity, impeccable purity, and awesome length and complexity. The yields from the three vineyards - La Mouline, La Landonne, and La Turque - rarely exceed two tons per acre...While all three wines share phenomenal concentration and marvelous perfumes, they could not be more different. I do not think anyone can adequately articulate the multitude of aromas of flavors they possess.” - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
These wines consistently rank among the world’s best. Only 400 - 500 cases of each is made per vintage, and they typically disappear into collectors’ cellars.
As young wines, they exhibit rich and powerful characteristics. La Mouline may have softer tannins, La Turque more exotic spices and La Landonne more density, but when they reach 15 -25 years of age, they begin to show their full personalities.
