Elect Real Leadership! Go To Your County GOP Convention!
Dear Fellow Republican,
As Republicans, aren't we tired of Republican politicians hurting our brand by proposing tax increases and additional regulations on private businesses? Don't we expect that Georgia Republicans will not try to kill anti-Obamacare legislation?
Does it bother you, at a time when we need greater participation in our county and state GOP organizations, that there are some who would break the rules and cheat at the upcoming GOP conventions to keep out committed Republicans who want to defeat the Democrats in 2016?
Isn't it about time that we elect Georgia Republican Party leadership that stands up for our Republican principles, and stops calling fair-weather politicians our "leaders"?
If so, it is up to YOU to make it happen. By going to your County GOP meetings tomorrow, you will shape the future of the Georgia GOP. Ask the candidates for party office what their vision is for the future, and what they will do to make it happen. If you have a better vision than that espoused by others, nominate and run for office yourself, even if it means ignoring the whims of a select few on a "nominating committee." This is YOUR party, and the delegates and officers you elect tomorrow will determine whether or not our Republican Party reaches new levels of participation, involvement, and fundraising, or if we will stay with the status quo.
Tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, 2015, Republicans throughout Georgia will elect new party leadership at the precinct level (in those counties that have not yet had mass precinct meetings) at 9:00 AM. At 10:00 AM, all delegates elected at precinct meetings will meet in county conventions to elect new officers to serve their county party, as well as delegates and alternates to represent their county at the district and state conventions. These delegates will elect district and state leadership in the coming months, hopefully including electing me as the next State Chairman of the Georgia GOP.
I urge you to encourage all those who share Republican principles to get involved in the party. I also ask for your vote as Georgia GOP Chairman in May. Together, we can ensure that we have a transparent, strong, and growing party that stands up for you and your principles.
